I wish I could rate this hotel more that 5 stars. If you want to be treated like royalty, this is where you want to stay while in Verona. Literally. It’s actually a 14th Century Palace and has welcomed guests such as Mozart, Napoleon, Margaret Thatcher and Morgan Freeman. Once I read about the former guests, I definitely knew I had to stay here. There isn’t one inch of this hotel that isn’t exquisite with everything intentionally placed. The Renaissance fresco’s, elaborate, venetian chandeliers, and gorgeous marble are too incredible to describe. The decor, the service and location are beyond what you would expect from an 5 star hotel.
In the heart of Verona, a beautiful hotel with a very fancy vibe. Rooftop bar with amazing views of the city, and also a huge lobby with a ton of comfortable seating. There is also plenty of artwork to admire while having a drink, or Soma food. Right next to a beautiful church, and within walking distance of basically everything in Verona. After staying here, I wouldn't settle for anything less.
The price (607 euro/night + 45€(!)/night for parking) is totally not justifiable.
And we received a special corporate rate that includes a voucher for 90 euro to spend at the bar. But the bar prices are so expensive, you spend it over 4 drinks...
Yes, it is clean and the location is great.
The roof terrace is nice and the staff is gentle.
But the room is outdated, the small window looks at an alley.
The bathroom is very small.
Breakfast was OK, nothing more.
You can get far better ancient Verona hotel experience at half the price or less.
😒
Hotel is rated 5* L for luxury. For me it is not comprehensible how once would come up with this rating. Except the kindness of the staff almost everything is 3 to 4 *. My room 226 was not well maintained. Strong traces of use, ridiculous TV, very, very old style interior design with a lack of sense for what could be recognised as “luxury”. No private coffee machine, rubbish bin with ugly plastic bags, very bright lights etc.
Breakfast choices limited no variances over 4 days, extra charge for omelette or other eggs than pre-prepared?!
Gym ok with good equipment but small and limited choices.
Roof terrace very nice, overpriced and food not outstanding.
I wouldn’t recommend and won’t come back
We frequently stay at 5* hotels around the world, we were underwhelmed by this Hotel. The rooms whilst having a period charm are rather tired there was no smart TV or USB sockets for example.
We based ourselves here for a week and the breakfast offering was comparable to hotels charging a fraction of the price of this Hotel. The fruit was the same every day (no strawberries or other soft fruits, on offer as one would expect at a 5* Hotel) the bread was very basic and the warm breakfast unless ordered at an extra cost from the kitchen was anything but warm.
The staff do their best but the management need to up their game and not rely on the location only.
Unfortunately we would not stay here again
Great location. Nice rooms and good service. I really love Verona so this was an easy choice.
Our youngest daughter was getting married just outside of Verona and we choose the Due Torri hotel for our base in Verona, during the few days that we were there. It was a truly wonderful experience. This large historic hotel in the famous ‘Citta Antica’ - the oldest part of Verona - is magnificent in every way and our stay was a delight. There were so many good things about this hotel that it would take me too long to describe them, but the historic and opulent interior and the wonderful roof terrace are really worth a mention. The other impressive feature of the hotel are its helpful, friendly staff who were a credit to the Due Torri and it really helped us to have people around who knew the area and who could help us to plan for our important weekend. I would like to that the management and staff of the Due Torri for making our stay so memorable.
Best hotel in Verona! Very friendly and helpful staff and perfectly designed medieval interiors!
